A student must earn a minimum of 80 credit hours to earn the certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography at Allen College.

• General Education Courses:  18 credit hours
• Diagnostic Medical Sonography courses:  62 credit hours

General Education Requirements: 

A minimum of 18 credit hours in required general education coursework must be completed prior to enrollment at Allen College.  Students attend a regionally accredited institution of their choice to complete the general education courses.

• Natural Sciences and Mathematics: (12-15 credit hours)
  • Anatomy & Physiology with Lab (6-8 credit hours)
