Allen College Students and Faculty Hold Service Day

altWATERLOO, Iowa—Allen College students and faculty volunteered at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank and the Salvation Army in Waterloo on March 29. Their efforts were part of a service day planned by the Allen College Community Service Committee.

Nine students and three faculty members served at each location. At the Salvation Army, they picked up trash outside of the building, moved furniture back into the family center and packaged food for distribution to clients. At the food bank, they stocked shelves, prepared three- and five-day food packages, and inspected donated food items.alt

The next Allen College Community Service Day for is scheduled for August 30.
