Allen College Students Raise Funds for Allen Child Protection Center

WATERLOO, Iowa — Allen College students recently organized a campaign to raise funds for the Allen Child Protection Center. Working in teams of four, five, or six members Allen College students engaged their peers, families, and friends in this fundraising effort. During a two-week period, the “Allen College Night Out for Kids Campaign” engaged 150 participants in collecting donations for the center raising $8,268. The students took time out to celebrate their success with an event sponsored by area businesses and associations.

Located in Cedar Falls, the Allen Child Protection Center conducts evaluations and forensic interviews to provide immediate help for children in northeast and north central Iowa who have been physically or sexually abused.
