STUDENTS ON HOLD are not eligible to register for any courses.  All holds must be resolved prior to Friday, April 4 for fall registration.  YOUR REGISTRATION WILL NOT be processed if there is a hold on your account.  If My Pulse indicates you have a business office hold, please contact the Student Services Office to inquire about your hold at (319) 226-2014.

Registration Process: Student registration materials are processed based on the student's position in the curriculum.

In addition, students in undergraduate programs are registered for courses based on the following priority:

  1. Full-time, regular progression students.
  2. Part-time, regular progression students.
  3. Students who have interrupted their studies but are in good academic standing.
  4. Students who have withdrawn from one or more radiography or nursing courses.
  5. Students who have failed and successfully repeated a radiography, nursing, or required general education course.
  6. Students who need to repeat a radiography, nursing, or general education prerequisite or co-requisite.
  7. Students who have been dismissed and reinstated.
  8. Transfer students from other programs according to admission, progression, and graduation guidelines.
  9. Students on hold will not be registered until hold is removed, potentially affecting progression. Priority placement does not apply to students who are on hold.

Undergraduate Nursing Students are enrolled in clinical or lab courses based on their enrollment in the previous semester.  Students who were enrolled in Friday clinical or lab for this semester will be given preferential enrollment to a non-Friday clinical for the following semester.  This does not guarantee non-Friday clinical!

Students in graduate programs are registered based on the following priority

  1. Full-time students who have completed 18 or more credit hours.
  2. Part-time students who have completed 18 or more credit hours.
  3. Full-time students who have completed less than 18 credit hours.
  4. Part-time students who have completed less than 18 credit hours.
  5. Full-time RN-MSN students.
  6. Part-time RN-MSN students.
  7. Non-Degree seeking students.

Allen College reserves the right to re-assign individuals to adjust clinical group sizes.  In addition, Allen College reserves the right to cancel a class if an insufficient number of students enroll, and to close a course when maximum enrollment is achieved.

Registration for courses in a future semester is dependent on successful completion of current semester coursework. Your registration may be altered or cancelled if course requirements and pre-requisite requirements are not met.

The spring schedule book will be emailed to all students by October 31.
