Accelerated Hybrid Option

Allen College's Accelerated BSN Hybrid option allows students to complete the BSN curriculum using a blended course delivery format. Both synchronous and asynchronous teaching strategies are used. Students view recorded lectures asynchronously as scheduled each week and complete online learning activities at a time that best fits their schedule. Students also participate in synchronous classes via distance learning (Blackboard Collaborate) every week. Exams are completed via distance using a remote proctoring method at a specific date and time determined by faculty. All labs and simulations in the program will take place on campus in Waterloo.

Clinical opportunities in the program will take place at UnityPoint Health - Des Moines or UnityPoint Health - Waterloo.
