Primo

Start your research at Barrett Library's new catalog and research platform! Primo brings together all of the library's books, journals, and databases in one easy search box. It also provides access to resources through the Primo Central Index-an aggregation of databases, institutional repositories, open access journals, international research, government documents, and more. For a full list of sources available through Primo, please contact your librarian at Library@allencollege.edu

EBSCO

EBSCO's platform contains the bulk of Barrett Library's database content for nursing, health professions, education, and consumer health including MEDLINE, CINAHL, and ERIC. Nursing Reference Center, Small Business Reference Center, and news sources are also hosted through EBSCO. Searching via the EBSCOhost interface provides best-in-the-business search tools and controlled vocabularies (not available through Primo) to get the most relevant results every time.

Gale

The Gale platform contains a wide range of general academic reference resources, newspapers and magazines, and a large amount of full text content. This platform also provides access to Gale's nursing and allied health databases for both peer-reviewed, academic content and consumer information.

ProQuest

ProQuest features a streamlined interface and familiar one-search start box. ProQuest database content includes a wide variety of resources for the rehabilitation sciences, psychology/psychiatry and mental health, behavioral issues, and traumatic experiences.

Ovid

The Ovid platform is home to many of Barrett Library's online journals. All content on this site is available in full text with archives going back many years. Ovid makes it easy to explore the newest issues of your favorite nursing journals and access historical content. Ovid is fully indexed in Primo under the Articles/Databases tab.

The ICE Video Library

175+ short video clips on occupational and physical rehabilitation divided into the following categories: musculoskeletal, nervous system, mental & behavioral, respiratory, settings, and pediatrics. Access to this library is restricted to occupational therapy students and faculty.

OT Search

The American Occupational Foundation (AOTF) and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) jointly support OT SEARCH, a bibliographic database covering the literature of occupational therapy and related subject areas. The full text of the indexed resources is not in this database, only the bibliographic information to identify the material and an author's abstract, when one exists. In the future, links to sources for full-text copies will be added to records in OT SEARCH. Currently, OT SEARCH contains over 41,900 records of materials dating from 1910 to the present. Access to OT Search is currently restricted to occupational therapy students and faculty.
