Dr. Dana Clasen joined Allen College in 2014 bringing over 20 years of experience as a registered nurse in the post-anesthesia care unit. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Education and Organizational Leadership from Clarke University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Allen College. She has a strong interest in evidence-based practice and oversees the coordination of the DNP Clinical Scholarship Projects. Currently, she teaches in the graduate nursing program at Allen College, specializing in leadership, quality improvement and evidence-based practice.

What do you enjoy most about teaching at Allen College?
As faculty at Allen College, I enjoy the opportunity to support nurses in achieving their academic and professional goals. Each student brings a unique perspective to the classroom, allowing a collaborative learning environment. Working with students on their DNP Clinical Scholarship projects is rewarding and it is exciting to see the impact nurses can make on practice!
