Terri Anderson
Terri Anderson, a 1979 graduate of the Allen School of Nursing, has built a distinguished career centered on service, education and loyalty to UnityPoint Health and Allen College. She began her career at Schoitz Memorial Hospital before joining Allen Hospital in 1983 as a medical-surgical nurse. Terri expanded her skills in home health and ambulatory surgery before pursuing her passion for teaching, earning both her BSN and MSN in Nursing Education at Allen College.
Terri has shared her expertise through guest lectures and presentations at local and national levels. She turned down other offers to stay at Allen College, where she continues to inspire future nurses. Her daughters, both Allen College graduates, now serve in UnityPoint Health, reflecting Terri’s proud legacy.
Her community involvement is extensive, with volunteer roles at her church, the American Red Cross, as a simulation volunteer at Allen College and as a community health worker at both the Jubilee Health Clinic and Allen Hospital’s North Crossing. Terri is also a proud Gerard Circle member and will complete her third consecutive 3-year term serving on the Allen College Alumni Board in May 2025.
Terri’s career exemplifies her unwavering commitment to nursing, education and community service. She’s made a lasting impact as both a healthcare professional and a dedicated community leader.
