How do you use health education in your practice as a dental hygienist?

I use health education every day to teach patients personalized and proper oral hygiene prevention techniques. Additionally, my dental office promotes change though outreach programs within the community and in other countries for oral health awareness and patient education.

How do the skills you acquired in the public health program contribute to those activities?

The skills I have gained have helped me to better educate my patients and community by using evidence-based approaches and effective communication.
