Dr. Arguello joined the Physical Therapy Faculty in 2019 and was appointed director of the physical therapy program in 2020. His clinical expertise is in the rehabilitation and prevention of injuries in young athletes. He has taught in physical therapy graduate education for over 10 years. Dr. Arguello’s areas of teaching are in anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise physiology.

Dr. Arguello’s primary research interest is in the management and prevention of sports injuries. Additional areas of research include anatomical variation, exercise interventions, and nutrition.
He has published in academic journals and presented research at national and state conferences.

Bryan Bond, DC, PhD

Dr. Bond joined the Physical Therapy Faculty at Allen College in 2021 and currently holds the rank of Professor. Dr. Bond received his B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo in Ontario. He earned his BS in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees from the National University of Health Sciences and spent several years in private practice. In addition, Dr. Bond holds a Master of Science in Biomechanics from The University of Kansas and a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Rehabilitation Science from The University of Kansas Medical Center. Also, he is currently working towards completion of a Rehabilitation Diplomate from the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. With over 20 years of teaching experience, he has instructed a diverse range of graduate education classes including musculoskeletal assessment, biomechanics, imaging, research, and anatomy.

Dr. Kiernan joined the Physical Therapy Faculty in 2020. She has taught in physical therapy graduate education for 15 years with her areas of expertise in neuroscience and neurorehabilitation. She has taught in occupational therapy and public health graduate programs. She also wrote and teaches a continuing education course in clinical neuroscience.

Dr. Liu joined the Physical Therapy Faculty in 2022. He has taught in higher ed physical therapy programs nearly 20 years. As a licensed physical therapist, his clinical expertise is in the rehabilitation of geriatric and neurological dysfunctions. As a leading researcher and collaborator in his areas, he has conducted externally and internally funded research projects and published hundreds of peer-reviewed articles and professional conference presentations.

Scholarship/Research:
Dr. Liu research primarily focuses on two areas: 1) geriatric rehabilitation including effect and modification of assistive ambulatory devices and pain control for older adults, and use of complementary and alternative therapy combined with conventional physical therapy for the elderly with a variety of medical and functional deficits; and 2) identification of skeletal muscle variation and surface projections of how peripheral nerves travel and potential impingement spots assessed with ink injection, cadaveric dissection, and diagnostic ultrasound in human body.

Dr. Stoddard joined the Physical Therapy Faculty in 2020. She has worked as a pediatric physical therapist for the last 6 years in a variety of settings including home health, outpatient, and acute care hospitals. Her clinical areas of expertise are pediatric brain injury and disorders of consciousness, trauma, orthopedics, and neurodevelopment. She has also assisted in teaching handling and manual therapy skills for the musculoskeletal physical therapy courses and pediatric courses at Texas Woman’s University where she is completing her PhD in physical therapy. Her PhD dissertation focus is on balance testing in adolescent dancers and other performing artists.

She has presented at state and national conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Wiedman joined the Physical Therapy Faculty in 2018. He has practiced in a wide variety of treatment settings included acute care, skilled nursing, outpatient therapy, consulting, management, and long-term care. He currently specializes in the evaluation and treatment of vestibular disorders, balance disorders, and complex dizziness. Dr. Wiedman also served in leadership positions for 12 years and is a member of the APTA’s Health Policy and Administration section, serving on the LAMP (Leadership, Administration, Management, Professionalism) Leadership committee.
